This Stampin' Royalty Challenge Really Flew!

I had a limited time to create today, but my mojo tapped me on the shoulder on my way home from work and the gym so I had to take advantage of his presence in my life.

I went to some of my favorite challenge sites and found this card came to me immediately when I saw Stampin' Royalty's weekly monochromatic challenge.

I used Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White and a variety of retired purple markers to color in my butterflies from the Kindness Matters set.
I ran out of this cool purple flowered ribbon, so on this second card, I used my last little strip of the ribbon and some purple brads.

A Definition of Challenge

This is the first card I've done in a long, long while.  Lots of reasons why (not to mention I've misplaced my mojo... have your seen it?)  I really wanted to do this week's challenge over on The Friday Mashup to try and get myself back on track a bit.  Here's what I cam up with...

The challenge was to make a graduation card or make a card that used text or definition stamps or paper or mash it up and do both.  I wasn't feeling the graduation theme, so I just make what may end up being my mother's day card.

This is a C.A.S.E of a Sarah Wills card (gotta give credit where credit is due... she's awesome and often inspires me).  But I did change it up a bit and make it my own.  I hope you like it...

So glad to be back...

Hello bloggers and challenges! Oh, how I've missed you!

This is my first card in weeks, maybe even a month! I just spent two weeks in beautiful Italy! The trip of a lifetime, really. Three words... A...MAZ...ING! My conversations will forever be peppered with, "well, when I was in Italy..."

This card is for two challenges! There is a picture challenge over on Stampin' Royalty and half of the Mashup idea over on the Friday Mashup. Check out these stampers... they are amazing.

Colors: Old Olive, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango
Sets: Button Buddies, Thank You Kindly
Other: Ribbon punch, scallop circle punch, bright buttons, white bakers twine

What you can't tell from the picture is that the three flowers in the center are popped up.
